Everton coach Carlo Ancelotti revealed the secret of the team’s 1-0 fall to West Ham, last night, in the English Premier League.

West Ham won thanks to a late goal by Tomas Soucek, leaving Everton in 4th place with 29 points, 4 points behind leaders Liverpool.

In a statement after the match, Ancelotti said that the players were not in full fitness, expressing his hope that they would return to their form and brilliance before the next confrontation in the league against Wolverhampton after 11 days.

Brazilian striker Richarlison regained his former fitness after suffering a concussion in the League Cup, but he was not quite as brilliant in front of goal as the team’s top scorer this season, Dominique Calvert-Lewin.

Incomplete fitness after a calf injury, James Rodriguez did not start from the start and participated as a substitute after that, but the team failed to achieve its 5th consecutive victory in the league, after winning against Chelsea, Leicester City, Arsenal and Sheffield United.

The Italian coach added: “The performance was good during the recent period. We played difficult matches and achieved good results, but this was not present today .. The important thing is to maintain our confidence and morale.”

He added, “There is a possibility of an improvement in the level of the players’ performance during the next few days. The players have not been able to participate in training in the past weeks, and we have confidence in that. “

He concluded: “We have high quality players, but they are far from the top of their level, such as James and Richarlison, as well as Dominic.”

Everton will meet Rutherham in the FA Cup, on January 9.
