Manchester City announced the postponement of their match against Everton, scheduled for Monday evening, in the 16th round of the English Premier League.
And after conducting many tests for the Coronavirus, the team suffered from a number of positive cases, in addition to the four cases that were already positive in Christmas, according to the official website of City.
Based on strong medical advice, the Premier League, in consultation with Manchester City and Everton, decided to postpone the match for fear of further spreading the virus.
All infected cases will enter a period of isolation according to the protocol of the British government. Meanwhile, the team’s training headquarters will be closed for a period, until the new team’s list of tests for the virus takes place, which will decide when to resume training again.
