The struggle for the top of the Premier League has become a triple one after Leicester City’s great victory over Brighton & Hove Albion, by three goals without a response, in the 12th round of the Premier League, which was held on Sunday.
At his King Power Stadium, Leicester players did not give any chance to the guests in the atmosphere of the match and ended things “clinically” with three goals signed by James Maddison, a double in the two minutes (27 and 44), and Jamie Vardy in the 41st minute.
Leicester raised its tally to 10 goals alongside Egyptian Mohamed Salah and South Korean Son Heung-min, in second place behind leaders Dominic Calvert-Lewin (Everton striker).
And the Irish team, Brendan Rodgers, hit more than a bird with this result, as it continued its victories for the second game in a row.
The Premier League champion 4 years ago took advantage of the fall of the two leaders, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool in the trap of a positive draw against Crystal Palace and Fulham, respectively, earlier today, to reduce the difference with them to one point after raising its score to 24 points, and ignite the struggle for the top of the Premier League.
As for Brighton, it swallowed its second consecutive and sixth loss this season, to keep its score at 10 points in 16th place.
