Belgian Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City star, is close to renewing his contract, which currently runs until the summer of 2022, according to an English press report.
City officials want to secure the survival of their first star early, fearing the moves of Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.
According to the British newspaper “The Guardian”, communications between City and De Bruyne are going well, noting that the signing of the Belgian star (29 years) on a new contract, until the summer of 2025, is very soon.
The report indicated that De Bruyne’s new salary could reach 300,000 pounds a week.
De Bruyne had previously hinted at the possibility of leaving Manchester City, if the penalty for banning the club from European appearances for two seasons is confirmed, before it is canceled.
