With that result, Manchester United raised its score to 33 points in second place, on goal difference from leaders Liverpool, while Aston Villa’s balance stuck at 26 points in sixth place.
The first attempt in the match came in the 10th minute in favor of Manchester United, after Martial launched a missile from the borders of the penalty area, Martinez was brilliant in the response.
Then Maguire rose in the 12th minute to a cross from a corner kick, with a header that was easily grabbed by Martinez, and then came the response from Aston Villa in the 13th minute, after McGinn followed a cross, striking a direct ball that De Gea sent away to a corner kick.

Manchester United opened the scoring in the 40th minute, after Bissaka sent a cross from the right side, followed by Martial with a distinct header into the net, ending the first half with the Red Devils advancing with an unanswered goal.
With the start of the second half, Aston Villa tried to quickly score a draw in the 51st minute, after Cash hit a powerful ball from the right side of the penalty area, and it went over the bar.
One minute later, De Gea starred in blocking a powerful header from Watkins, clearing the ball to a corner kick, then the invader fired a powerful shot in the 55th minute from inside the penalty area, which passed shortly to the post.

Aston Villa adjusted the score in the 58th minute, after Grealish sent a ground cross to Traore, completely uncontrolled, into the penalty area, to score easily in the net.
The response came quickly, with United securing a penalty kick in the 60th minute after Pogba was handicapped by Luiz, and Bruno successfully executed the kick with a ground shot to the right of the goalkeeper, scoring the second goal in the 61st minute.Embed from Getty Images
Solskjaer made the first substitution in the 65th minute by descending Matic at the expense of McTominay, then Martial penetrated into the penalty area in the 71st minute, with a powerful shot saved by Martinez.

Pogba almost killed the match in the 74th minute, after he followed a cross from Shaw, hitting a direct ball that passed shortly to the post, and then a perfect cross from Grealish to Watkins in the 75th minute, hitting a header that passed next to the post.
Bruno fired a missile from the edge of the penalty area in the 77th minute, touching Martinez’s fingers before hitting the crossbar, then Rashford hit the ball slightly above the bar, and Mings almost scored a tie with a header in the 83rd minute that passed next to the post.
Solskjaer pushed James at the expense of Bruno in the 87th minute, and Cash fired a rocket from outside the penalty area in the third minute of additional time, De Gea brilliantly tackled it, and the match ended with a 2-1 victory for United.
