Jose Mourinho, Tottenham’s coach, undervalued the two goals scored by Leicester, in the victory of the Foxes over the Spurs on Sunday evening, as part of the 14th round of the English Premier League.
Mourinho said at the press conference after the match: “The penalty kick did not come from a played attack, we committed it, and it was not the result of something great, but rather it came out of context at a time that was the best for us in the first half.”
He added, “We started the game badly. We played a poor level in the first 20 minutes. There are negative issues related to spaces, pressure and behavior, which I do not like. Then we’ve changed and got adapted, and we had a period of control and creating opportunities, and the penalty kick came out of context.”
And he continued about the second half: “They did not cause trouble either. They scored a goal against Toby, and I don’t remember anything else. I remember Schmeichel made a great save, yes we did not create 15 chances, but they defended well.”
