Newcastle United coach, Steve Bruce, praises his goalkeeper Karl Darlow after his brilliance performance in a 0-0 draw against Premier League champions Liverpool, on Wednesday.
Darlow saved an opportunity from Mohamed Salah in the first half, and then sent a header from Roberto Firmino.
The 30-year-old starred in deflecting another header from Firmino two minutes before the end.
Darlow grabbed attention after participating instead of the injured Martin Dubravka and kept his 3 clean sheets in the league this season.
“I wait patiently for his opportunity… We need the second goalkeeper to be ready and ready to participate,” Bruce told reporters.
He added “He did not participate much, but this does not negate his brilliance throughout the season. He did an amazing job, and at the moment he deserves to participate after what he presented.”
Newcastle, 14th, host Leicester City on Sunday.
