Manchester United came from behind to win (3-1), at the expense of West Ham, in the match that was held this evening, Saturday, at the London Olympic Stadium, in the 11th round of the English Premier League.
United scored a hat-trick by Paul Pogba (65), Mason Greenwood (68) and Marcus Rashford (78), while the only goal of West Ham was scored by Thomas Soucek (38).
With this result, Manchester United raised its score to 19 points, to rise the fourth place, while West Ham stuck at 17 points, in seventh place.
West Ham formed the first risk in the match, in the second minute, after Bowen hit a ball that collided with Manchester’s defenses, leading to Fornals, who fired a shot from within the 6-yard area, Henderson brilliantly tackled it.
Bowen scored a goal for West Ham in the ninth minute, but the match referee canceled it for offside.
West Ham almost opened the scoring, in the 35th minute, when Fornals hit a ball from inside the penalty area, and it collided with the post.
Finally, the hosts reached the Red Devils net, in the 38th minute, when Rice climbed a cross from a corner kick, passing an elaborate ball header to Soucek, completely devoid of supervision on the far post, to score the goal easily.
Manchester tried to respond with a powerful shot from Martial, in the 44th minute, but Fabianski was brilliant in sending it to a corner kick.
Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made two substitutions for Manchester United, in the start of the second half, with Fernandez and Rashford descending, at the expense of Van de Beek and Cavani.
Mata also entered the 62nd minute at the expense of Martial, who suffered an injury.
Manchester United succeeded in adjusting the result, in the 65th minute, after Bruno gave a special ball to Pogba outside the penalty area, to launch the French missile that landed in Fabiansky’s net.
United quickly added the second goal, in the 68th minute, after Teles sent an elaborate cross from the left side, which Greenwood met inside the penalty area, and then hit a powerful ball that landed in the net.
Rashford scored the third goal with a Panenka gesture, in the 78th minute, when Mata passed a genius ball to put him alone face to face with the goalkeeper.
Benrahma tried to put a dropped ball, from the penalty area, in the 81st minute, but it raised the bar slightly.
In the 84th minute, Cresswell executed a free kick which Henderson was brilliant in facing it.
Rice fired a powerful ball from outside the penalty area, in the 87th minute, and Henderson caught it, to end the match with Manchester United winning 3-1.
