Tottenham regains its balance by three against Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur regained their winning streak by defeating Leeds United 3-0 on Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in round 17 of the Premier League.

Spurs’ hat-trick was scored by Harry Kane (29), Hyung-Min Son (43) and Toby Alderweireld (50).

With that result, Tottenham raised its score to 29 points to rise to 3rd place, while Leeds stuck at 23 points in 11th place.

Leeds formed the first risk in the match in the fourth minute, with a powerful shot by Alioski from the left side of the penalty area, which passed near to the post.

And Phillips sent a cross to Klich into the penalty area, to receive the ball and hit it over the crossbar in the 10th minute.

And the first appearance of the Spurs came in the 17th minute, with a missile from Kane from inside the penalty area, which went over the crossbar, followed by Bergwijn with a shot from the edge of the penalty area, which passed next to the post.

Tottenham improved in the following minutes, and the ball came to HĂžjbjerg inside the penalty area in the 21st minute, to hit a ground ball that Meslier grabbed.

Leeds appeared again in the 22nd minute, after Bamford met a cross with a header that went over the crossbar.

Tottenham got a penalty kick in the 27th minute, after Bergwijn was blocked by Alioski, and Kane successfully executed it with a powerful shot in the middle of the goal in the 29th minute.

Bergwijn missed an opportunity to score, after he hit a ball from inside the penalty area in the 36th minute without supervision, but his ball went over the bar.

Harrison fired a missile from outside the box in the 41st minute, and it went just above the bar.

Tottenham added the second goal in the 43rd minute, after Kane sent an elaborate ground cross to Son, who followed it with a direct shot from inside the penalty area and hit the net, and end the first half with the Spurs advancing with two unanswered goals.

With the start of the second half, Ndomble fired a powerful ball from inside the penalty area, which Meslier sent away to a corner kick.

From that corner kick, Son sent a cross, which Alderferweld met with a header, which the Leeds keeper tried to stop, but it crossed the goal line, to add the Spurs 3rd goal.

The Spurs appetite increased, and Kane tried to add the 4th goal with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area in the 53rd minute, which passed near to the post.

Son sent a perfect ball for Bergwijn into the penalty area in the 62nd minute, who hit a powerful ball, but the Leeds goalkeeper had brilliantly tackled it.

Kane reappeared in the second half, with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area, which Meslier sent away to a corner kick in the 66th minute.

Kane noticed Meslier progressed from his own goal, and tried to surprise him with a fallen ball from the midfield in the 72nd minute, but his ball overed the crossbar.

Phillips met a crossed ball from a corner kick in the 74th minute, hitting a header over the crossbar.

Mourinho made the first substitution for Tottenham in the 76th minute, by dropping Sissoko at the expense of Winks, and then pushing Moura at the expense of Ndomble.

In the 79th minute, Raphinha hit a powerful ball, which was saved by Lloris, and Bamford followed it in the 83rd minute with a weak header that went easy in the arms of Lloris.

Mourinho pushed Vinicius at the expense of Kane in the 87th minute, and in the second minute of additional time, Doherty got the second yellow card and the red card after his violent intervention on Hernandez, to end the match with a Tottenham’s 3-0 won.
