Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham visited former team coach Arsene Wenger to discuss his presence at the club.
According to the newspaper “Daily Mail” on its website, Venkatesham discussed with Wenger the possibility of holding an honor for him at the “Emirates” stadium.
Wenger left Arsenal in 2018, after overseeing the team’s training for 22 years, amid press reports that the relationship between the two parties was strained, given the French coach’s dissatisfaction with how he dealt with him in his last season.
The “Daily Mail” reported that Venkatesham assured Wenger that he was always welcome in the “Emirates” stadium, but at the same time confirmed that the French coach had no intentions to visit the club with the current owners.
Wenger turned into a legend at Arsenal, after he led him to win the Premier League title 3 times and the England Cup 7 times, and he also reached the Champions League final in 2006.
